Precious new life was breathed into an abandoned 24-hectare railway marshalling yard in 2008/9 when the Park Spoor Noord opened. Now a large panoramic green park emphasising greenery, light, space, leisure, culture, sport and events.
It boasts play areas, a spectacular BMX and skate bowl, two cooling water fountains for children to splash in and a shelter with a temporary summer terrace, run by Bar Cargo, which sees the trendy set settling in - in the summer!
