WaseGolf in Sint-Gillis-Waas is the most recent golf project in Flanders. Following the first phase, this brand-new club wants to become the golf school in Waasland and surroundings. Afterwards there are plans for the construction of 9 and then 18 holes.
The golf school consists of a driving range, a putting green, and - from April 2018 - six holes, of which two are par 4 and four par 3. The old horse stables are also being converted into a temporary clubhouse. The club was officially opened on 1 April 2017 with the driving range and putting green, so that the first beginners were welcomed at the start of the season.
WaseGolf wants to make golf accessible to everyone, from beginners to semi-pros, and is therefore mainly aimed at new golfers. Ideal for anyone who has never played golf and wants to get to know the sport!
And what could be nicer than enjoying a cosy dinner together before or after a round? That’s possible in the WaseGolf brasserie, where chef Tom Van Herck has developed concepts such as themed menus and Burgundian Thursdays that will spoil your taste buds at extremely affordable prices. The brasserie is not just for club members - everyone is more than welcome!

WaseGolf in Sint-Gillis-Waas is located in the north of Waasland, a region with beautiful natural areas between the cities of Ghent and Antwerp.
In Stekene and Sint-Gillis-Waas, for example, there is the famous (infamous?) Stropersbos (Poacher’s Forest), a magnificent area where the walking is wonderful. The combination of alder fen forests, grassland, and canals creates variety in the signposted trails. Children can romp on the play hills and marvel at the impressive Galloway cattle, Konik horses, and grazing sheep
“The Sweet Land of Waas,” as Waasland is also known, did not acquire its name by chance. In Sint-Niklaas, Crèmerie François has the best ice cream in the country, and you can taste the unique flavour of Den Ouden Advokaat, while in Lokeren you’ll be able enjoy a bite of their famous horse sausage!
